Candidate AI Use in Our Hiring Process

Our approach to AI

We believe AI can be used to increase impact, improve efficiency, and build new skills — and we’re working to close the gender gap in AI adoption so everyone benefits from these tools.

When AI is encouraged in our hiring process:

• Preparing your application: Use AI to help draft or refine your resume and cover letter. We want application materials that represent you accurately.
• On your resume: If AI is part of your skill set, list it. We want to see how you use these tools in your work.
• Before your interview: Use AI to prepare — research the role, practice your answers, pressure-test your thinking.

And when it’s not:

• During live interviews: Do not use AI tools while you’re speaking with us, including tools that listen and generate answers in real time, and AI notetaking apps — except for approved accessibility accommodations. We’re evaluating how you think, so that assessment has to reflect you, unaided, at every stage from initial screens through final rounds. Relying on AI to provide answers for you during an interview may be disqualifying.
• Written assignments: We often encourage AI for written assignments. When that is the case, we will tell you exactly what’s expected in the assignment instructions — including where we want to see your own judgment, so AI sharpens your thinking rather than replaces it.
